Common land located in Stanhope, Wear Valley, Durham.


Extensive area of remote moorland 3 kms west of Ireshopeburn.


Not disputed. The Church Commissioners claim a right in fee simple to beds and seams of minerals, together with rights to work these.

Common in Soil (7) Piscary (7) Turbary (8)1 horse. Four rights are held in gross.

Grazing rights are held in stints: 1 stint equals 1cow or 5 sheep; 2 stints equal 1 horse. Four rights entries are held in gross. Common in soil rights relate to stone.
